1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing our website, submitting a contact or newsletter form, booking a trial or class, enrolling a student, purchasing from our shop, or attending our studio programmes, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you enrol or book on behalf of a minor, you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian (or otherwise authorised) and agree to these terms on the student's behalf.
2. About E.T Art Studio
E.T Art Studio provides art education services in Auckland, including regular studio classes, trial lessons, workshops, portfolio and advanced programmes, digital and 3D art courses, holiday activities, and related consultation.
Course availability, campuses, schedules, pricing, and policies may vary by programme and may be updated for future enrolments.
3. Website use
- You must provide accurate information when using forms, booking tools, or checkout flows.
- You must not misuse the website (for example attempting unauthorised access, introducing malware, scraping content, or interfering with security features such as reCAPTCHA).
- Content on this website (text, images, branding, and course materials) is owned by or licensed to E.T Art Studio unless stated otherwise. You may not copy or redistribute it without permission.
4. Trial bookings and online enrolment
Trial class and course bookings submitted through our website are subject to availability, age or level suitability, and confirmation by our team.
Online payments for bookings are processed via Stripe. Completing checkout does not by itself guarantee placement until we confirm schedule, capacity, and any outstanding requirements.
You are responsible for reviewing booking details (course, campus, date, time, student information, and fees) before payment.
5. Enrolment, attendance, and class rules
Regular attendance supports steady progress in our art programmes. After a class pack or term enrolment is confirmed, the following attendance and make-up rules apply.
- Class placement is based on age, skill level, studio capacity, and teacher recommendation.
- Students must arrive on time and follow teacher instructions, studio safety rules, and equipment care guidelines.
- Students are expected to attend scheduled sessions on time. We encourage consistent attendance throughout each term so skills can develop effectively.
- If a student cannot attend due to illness or another commitment, the parent or guardian must notify E.T Art Studio at least one full day in advance. Absences without prior notice are not eligible for a make-up class.
- Where a student misses sessions during a term, families should arrange make-up classes where possible during E.T Art Studio holiday programmes or other designated make-up periods, subject to seat availability and our current make-up schedule.
- Make-up arrangements may also depend on programme type and administrative confirmation. Details communicated at enrolment form part of this policy.
- We may reschedule, combine, or cancel classes for operational, safety, or staffing reasons and will use reasonable efforts to notify affected families.
6. Fees, invoices, and payment
- Published fees apply to the programme and term stated at enrolment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Fees must be paid by the due date to secure or continue placement. Late or failed payment may result in suspension of classes or cancellation of booking.
- Prices, packages, and promotions may change for future enrolments. Any applicable taxes or surcharges will be disclosed at checkout or invoicing where required.
- Chargebacks or disputed card payments should be raised with us first so we can investigate the booking record.
7. Cancellation, withdrawal, and refunds
Cancellation or withdrawal requests should be submitted in writing (email is acceptable). Refund or credit outcomes depend on notice period, classes already delivered, administrative costs, and programme-specific policies communicated at enrolment.
If E.T Art Studio cancels a class or programme, we may offer rescheduling, credit toward future classes, or a refund where appropriate.
No refund is implied for missed classes caused by student absence unless our make-up policy expressly provides otherwise.
Nothing in this section limits your non-excludable rights under New Zealand consumer law where our services are supplied to consumers.
8. Online shop (Shopify)
Products sold through our online shop are subject to product descriptions, availability, and checkout terms presented at purchase. Payment and fulfilment are handled through Shopify's checkout process.
Returns or exchanges for shop goods follow our shop policy communicated at purchase or on request. Shop terms are separate from class enrolment terms where policies differ.
9. Health, safety, and studio conduct
Parents/guardians must disclose relevant health, allergy, or accessibility information needed for safe participation.
Students and visitors must behave respectfully toward staff and others. We may pause or terminate participation for serious misconduct, repeated disruption, or risks to safety.
Personal belongings brought to the studio remain your responsibility. We are not liable for loss or damage to personal items except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
10. Student artwork and intellectual property
Students retain ownership of original artwork they create in class, subject to use of studio materials, references, and collaborative projects as explained by teachers.
E.T Art Studio may retain teaching copies, progress documentation, or display class work for educational purposes. Commercial use of student work beyond this requires appropriate consent.
11. Photos, video, and promotional use
With consent, we may photograph classes or showcase student work in studio displays, websites, newsletters, or social media. You may contact us to update consent preferences.
If you do not wish a student to appear in promotional media, please notify us in writing before or at enrolment.
12. Limitation of liability
We provide services with reasonable care and skill. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from events outside our reasonable control (including website downtime of third-party providers).
Where our services are supplied to consumers, our liability is not limited in a manner prohibited by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other mandatory law.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you also agree to that policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. You agree that the courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights or dispute processes that apply to you.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated terms take effect when published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where permitted by law.
